Make. Release. Document.
Sisyphus is a figure in Greek mythology who was sentenced to push a large boulder up a cliff for all eternity bound to never complete their task.
I feel like Sisyphus in my side projects. Bound to start tasks and abandon them as they fall down the hill. No project is ever formally sunset, instead the amount of time invested dwindles until I inevitably turn to a new project. The end of a project is the hard part, especially in games in which the systems you put into play are tested and stretched to their limits.
Sisyphus is a project to release something as a side project, onto steam which I would feel comfortable charging at least one Great British pounds for. Asking for money for a project is not easy but adding a minimum price value means I cannot just spit out any old asset flip garbage with both my name and a price tag attached. My reputation and values are on the line, I would like to start my career as an independent developer well.
Join me if you would like as I attempt to make something new, exciting and dive into a new world!
These are the broad goals. It is notable that these do not list “create X or Y game” as this project is less about what I release but more about the process.
